Dear Prayer Partners
Shalom
I pray you have had a special Easter during which you experienced the joy of the risen Christ blessing you and your family.
As you will read below in our prayer requests the floods in Mozambique and Zambia are receding.
This is good news for which we are deeply grateful. The suffering of the people was immense.
Grant Brenton Chair of Ohfi has written the following prayer of humble thanks to begin our prayer letter.
Dear Blessed Jesus, we thank you for your steadfast support of Ohfi,
· when finances are tight, You deliver,
· when supporters begin to wane, You introduce new ones to us
· when our partners are struggling, You provide them with a way forward
· when partner projects seem challenging, You provide solutions
· when vulnerable children are exposed, You wrap your arms around them in protection
Lord Jesus with You as our leader, Ohfi will continue to reach more vulnerable children in the coming years. We humbly thank You for Your support for we know we can only achieve these things with You by our side. Amen
Prayer.
Please pray for all the children, young people and their families cared for through Ohfi programmes. An Ohfi prayer for children and families follows—
Lord Jesus, thank you that you take children into your arms and bless them.
May every child know the deep peace and love of being held close to you.
We especially ask you to protect all unborn children and children who are impoverished, neglected and abused.
May we, your people, open our hearts to bring compassion into their lives.
Help us to support and encourage families and communities in the love and protection of their children.
May children everywhere grow up feeling accepted, safe, and loved.
Amen
Thank you.
This is my last prayer letter. From May Josephine Olsen will write the Ohfi prayer letter. Josephine and her husband Chris are dedicated members of Ohfi with Chris serving on the Board and Josephine having a special ministry of prayer to the Board.
I believe it is essential for the success of Ohfi that it be deeply immersed in prayer. In his teaching on the vine and the branches Jesus made it clear that with Him we can bear much fruit, but not much otherwise. John records Jesus as saying, “If someone remains in me and I in them they will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing,”
This is why I applaud and thank you, our Ohfi prayer partners. With Jesus at Ohfi’s head you fan grace through out the organization. Your prayers are an integral part of the services Ohfi brings to children and their families. On their behalf thank you for your love, your faith and your prayers. They are making a huge difference for good in children’s lives.
Kindest regards,
The grace and peace of Jesus be with you now and always.
Ewen Laurenson
Prayer co-ordinator.
