May 2025 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Partners,

I pray you expe­ri­enced a blessed Easter filled with the love of the Risen Lord for you, and for those dear to you.

As always thank you for your prayers in support of the mission of Ohfi. You fan God’s grace through the orga­ni­za­tion for which we are deeply grateful.

In Ohfi we believe that a most impor­tant service we offer our over­seas part­ners and their com­mu­ni­ties is the train­ing we offer to their people. The train­ing we offer is the care and pro­tec­tion of chil­dren, espe­cially for chil­dren who are impov­er­ished, orphaned, neglected, abused, vul­ner­a­ble to exploita­tion, Through the train­ing we endeav­our to equip com­mu­nity leaders and parents/caregivers with the knowl­edge and skills needed to ensure that all chil­dren in their com­mu­nity belong to a family and com­mu­nity where they are safe from neglect and abuse, can attend school and receive good health care. The train­ing seeks to empower a com­mu­nity to realise that by coming together and sharing exper­tise that there are things they can do to ensure that even the most vul­ner­a­ble child can be well looked after. The train­ing draws on the African saying: “ It takes a village to raise a child.”
